The Coordinator of Student Recruitment will develop and implement a college-wide recruitment plan with the primary focus on increasing student enrollment and conversion rates. This position will coordinate and oversee all on and off campus recruiting events in accordance with the mission, goal, and policies of the College. Responsible for developing, organizing, conducting, and assessing recruitment activities for the college.

Supervision Received/Exercised

• Receives general supervision from Dean of Enrollment Management

• Exercises supervision over the Coaching Staff & College Recruiter position (50% supervision

Essential Functions

• Coordinate recruitment efforts of curriculum programs across the College by collaborating with faculty, staff, and administration.
• Establish and maintain a campus-wide system for reporting recruitment activities in all areas.
• Establish and maintain a system for tracking participation in recruitment activities and measuring the outcomes of each activity.
• Provide regular reports on recruitment activities to the Dean and to the VP of Student Services and Enrollment Management.
• Works closely with other members of the Enrollment Management team (Admissions, Registrar, Financial Aid, Career Coaches) to establish recruitment goals, benchmarks, and strategies.
• Participate in development, implementation, and assessment of the comprehensive recruitment and outreach plan.
• Coordinate CFCC’s participation in CACRAO tours, college fairs, high school visits, etc.
• Offers feedback and participates in a comprehensive New Student Orientation program, both online and face-to-face.
• Ensure accurate collection of prospective student data throughout recruitment funnel (to include campus visits, inquiry cards, online requests forms, and telephone/email data collection).
• Supervise, train, and coordinate Student Ambassador Program. Design tour routes, talking points, and overall assessment of student tour guides.
• Maintains a steady flow of communication via email, traditional mail, social media, and phone calls with prospective students and applied students in order to establish a relationship between the student and CFCC.
• Completes routine reports related to recruitment, projections, conversions, personal schedule, travel, and special programs and initiatives.
• Assists new students with enrollment process, career options, financial aid application process, orientation, and registration.
• Contact and meet high school counselors and teachers to explain benefits of CFC’s program offerings and maintain CFCC materials at the service area high schools.
• Participate in classroom visitations, career expos, college fairs, and other special events to discuss program options to potential students.
• Provide information pertaining to residency requirements for in-state tuition purposes.
• Visit area businesses/industries to discuss educational opportunities with employees or employee groups to enhance their current skills and/or better prepare them for advancement within their organizations.
• Work with College staff to coordinate assigned activities with those of other programs, departments, and outside agencies and organizations.
• Work with the Community Relations Office in developing marketing strategies, as well as publications to be used in the recruitment process.
• Communicate with college officials concerning suggestions from prospective students along with business and industry suggestions for new courses, programs, or updating of current programs/courses.
• Generate and proofread letters, reports, memos and statistical charts pertaining to recruitment activities.
• Plan and attend recruitment activities designed specifically for the adult population and online learners. Conduct recruitment presentations to diverse audiences as assigned.
• Participate in the enforcement of the Rights and Privacy Act.

Other Important Functions

• Assist in the promotion, planning, and coordination of activities and events sponsored by Student Services and Enrollment Management.
• Participate on various college committees and other institutional activities.
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge of

• Student recruitment, inquiry management, and relationship based marketing.

• Human relations and personnel practices

• Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (preferably Colleague)

• Strong customer service skills

• Experience conducting small and large group presentations.
